Karaoke can be an easy job to get wrong, but the KJ Simos is a machine. He was gracious, quick, professional, attentive. He was everything a KJ should be. He is a performer, an entertainer and a great part of the overall experience. As a lifelong karaoke singer, I never expected one of my best experiences to be at a gas station in a city ive never been to. Trent, the bartender tonight, was also outstanding. His customer service was second to none, his demeanor, his attitude, everything was so warm and welcoming. He was busy all night and still found time to make sure our needs were met. It was a great night and these two gentlemen, professionals at what they do, did a great job making it memorable for me and my partner.
Decent lounge for a truck stop. Very clean. Great drink deals. There’s even a pool table and giant Jenga. Staff is really nice!
A truck stop dive bar at it's finest. Rick our bartender was couious as to why we were there? I had to explain that we seek these kind of places. He was a fun treat to our visit. We enjoyed our time there. We didn't eat. To be fair, the outside of the place appears sketchy, there were a few " interesting" people milling around, so keep your wits about you and maybe consider a day drinking visit like we did.
Trent was the at the bar the Dj played all the right music had a blast singing.
Nice little bar, and it was not too busy during our visit. No Karaoke that night, but the bartender was nice enough to break it out, which we really did appreciate. It was our first stop of many, and we had a really good time here. The drinks came out quickly and were all good. We stayed in the hotel close by, making it convenient for us to stop in. There is also a store and a subway, as well as a few other places located right in this little strip. I would for sure go back if ever in town.
Trent? An outstanding rock star behind the bar AND at the mic when KJ Simos wheedled him into the spotlight. His drinks are mixed right, his service and attentiveness was 10/10, and he was an amazing host. We didn't even notice when he put one of our drinks down, it was magic. KJ Simos? BOOK HIM, trust me! There aren't enough words to put him on blast for being both an amazing MC and KJ. Karaoke with him was phenomenal: he flowed with his audience and he picked up on which singers he could easily play or sing with very easily. He has a great voice, can encourage anyone to sing, and brings the party spirit. He's worth every penny. (The billiards tables? They choose favorites, so I suggest you whisper sweet nothings to them.) Tip your Bartender and KJ!
Didn't know this was here. Parked was on way to Subway and bam...Happy Hr and had Buffalo Mac and Cheese(Great) and onion rings(mmm). Carrigan was friendly, respectful and great company. I will let everyone I know to stop by...Plus have slots and pool tables.
